Possible Causes
Battery charge depleted, Battery capacity reduced due to age, Charger not fully charging pack, High power mode draining battery quickly
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Use only the original or Bissell-approved charger.
- Fully charge battery: Place the vacuum or battery on the charger until the indicator shows a full charge (steady light or full bars). This may take 3–4 hours depending on model.
- Avoid partial charges: Allow the battery to reach full charge regularly to help the fuel gauge calibrate.
- Use appropriate power mode: Reserve MAX/Turbo mode for short bursts. Continuous use on high power will significantly reduce runtime and trigger LOW sooner.
- Evaluate battery age: If runtime is much shorter than when new (e.g., only a few minutes), the battery cells may be worn out. Replace the battery pack.
- Check charger function: If the battery never reaches full indication, test with another charger or battery to determine whether the charger is faulty.
