Display shows 'CHG' flashing or charger LED blinks rapidly and vacuum will not charge

Safety first: Unplug the charger from the mains before inspection.

• Confirm charger model: Check that the charger part number matches the one specified for your Black+Decker cordless vacuum model and battery voltage.
• Inspect charger and cable: Look for damage, frayed cords, or burn marks. Do not use a damaged charger.
• Try another outlet: Plug the charger into a different wall outlet to rule out power issues.
• Test with another battery: If you have another compatible battery, try charging it. If only one battery fails to charge, that pack is likely defective.
• Replace faulty component: Replace the charger if it fails with multiple batteries. Replace the battery pack if it is the only one that will not charge and triggers CHG error.
