Possible Causes
Brush roll motor jammed by debris, Shorted brush motor windings, Damaged wiring in floor head, Faulty brush on/off switch
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn OFF the vacuum, remove the battery, and disconnect the floor head from the wand or handheld unit.
- Clear brush roll: Open the brush access plate and remove the brush roll. Cut away hair and threads. Ensure the brush bearings spin freely.
- Inspect brush motor: Look into the floor head for signs of melted plastic, burnt smell, or discoloration near the brush motor.
- Check wiring: Examine the cable from the wand to the floor head for cuts, kinks, or exposed wires.
- Test without brush: Reassemble without engaging the brush (if possible). If the vacuum runs normally, the fault is isolated to the brush motor circuit.
- Replace floor head or brush motor: If the error returns whenever the brush is engaged, replace the motorized floor head assembly or have the brush motor and wiring replaced.
