Possible Causes
Air leak at dust bin seal, Torn or missing rubber gasket between bin and body, Cracked extension tube, Worn seals in floor nozzle swivel
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn OFF the vacuum and remove the battery pack before inspecting seals and tubes.
- Step 1 – Check for obvious leaks: Run the vacuum briefly and feel around joints (bin, wand, nozzle) for air being sucked in. Then power off and remove the battery.
- Step 2 – Inspect dust bin seal: Remove the bin and examine the rubber gasket where it meets the main body. If it is twisted, dirty, or damaged, clean it with a dry cloth or replace it.
- Step 3 – Examine extension tube: Look for cracks or splits along the metal or plastic wand. Replace if damaged.
- Step 4 – Check nozzle swivel and joints: Inspect the floor head swivel and joints for worn or missing seals. Excessive play can cause leaks.
- Step 5 – Test handheld mode: Use the vacuum without the wand and nozzle. If suction is strong in handheld mode, the leak is in the wand or nozzle.
Replace any damaged seals, gaskets, or tubes with Bomann-compatible parts to restore full suction.
