Bomann
Ineffective Floor Cleaning / Brush Roll Performance Loss
Vacuum leaves debris on carpet, poor pickup even though suction at the wand feels strong

Possible Causes
Worn brush roll bristles, Brush roll not spinning due to belt or motor issue, Incorrect floor setting (hard floor vs carpet), Blocked nozzle intake slot
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn OFF the vacuum and remove the battery pack before working on the floor nozzle.
- Step 1 – Check brush roll rotation: Turn the vacuum on briefly (battery installed) and observe the brush roll. If it does not spin, stop and remove the battery.
- Step 2 – Clean brush roll: Remove the brush roll and clear hair and fibers. Ensure the bristles are not worn flat.
- Step 3 – Inspect nozzle intake: Look at the front suction slot of the nozzle. Remove any buildup of lint or hair that may be restricting airflow at the floor.
- Step 4 – Verify floor mode: Some Bomann heads have different modes for hard floors and carpets. Ensure the correct mode is selected for your surface.
- Step 5 – Replace brush roll if worn: If bristles are significantly worn or uneven, install a new Bomann brush roll designed for your model.
Proper brush roll action is essential for carpet cleaning. If the brush motor is not working, the entire motorized head may need replacement.
