Possible Causes
Brush roll jammed with hair and fibers, Foreign object stuck in floor nozzle, Faulty brush motor in motorized nozzle, Damaged wiring in nozzle swivel or connector
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Remove the battery pack and disconnect the motorized nozzle from the vacuum before working on the brush.
- Remove brush roll: On most Bosch cordless nozzles, unlock the side cap or release latch and pull out the brush bar.
- Clean thoroughly: Cut away hair and threads with scissors, taking care not to cut bristles. Remove any wrapped fibers from the ends of the brush where they sit in bearings.
- Check for obstructions: Inspect the nozzle air path and brush chamber for coins, toys, or large debris. Remove anything blocking rotation.
- Inspect brush bearings: Spin the brush roll by hand. It should rotate freely. If it feels rough, seized, or melted at the ends, the brush roll assembly should be replaced.
- Check electrical contacts: Inspect the nozzle’s electrical connector pins and the mating contacts on the tube/handle for bent or burned pins. Clean gently with a dry cloth.
- Reassemble and test: Refit the brush roll and reconnect the nozzle. Reinstall the battery and test on low power first. If E03 persists with a clean, free-spinning brush, the nozzle motor or internal PCB is likely faulty and the entire motorized nozzle may need replacement.
