Possible Causes

Faulty trigger switch, Broken trigger return spring, Damaged flex cable between trigger and PCB, Stuck power mode button

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Remove the battery before inspecting the handle or trigger mechanism.

  • Check trigger movement: Squeeze and release the trigger several times. It should move smoothly and return fully. If it feels stuck or loose, the mechanical linkage may be broken.
  • Inspect for contamination: Look for dust, sticky residue, or damage around the trigger opening. Do not spray liquids into the handle; instead, use compressed air lightly to clear debris.
  • Mode buttons: If your Bosch model has separate power/mode buttons, press each one several times to ensure they are not stuck in the pressed position.
  • Partial disassembly: If you are comfortable and the design allows, remove the handle cover screws to access the trigger switch. Check that the switch actuator is aligned and the small microswitch clicks when pressed.
  • Replace if faulty: If the trigger switch is physically broken or not clicking, the handle assembly or switch board should be replaced. This is often sold as a complete handle/control unit.
