Filter Not Detected / Filter Position Sensor Error
Display shows F0, vacuum refuses to start, often after filter removal

Possible Causes
Pre-motor filter not installed, Filter cover not latched, Faulty filter presence microswitch, Broken filter tab that actuates sensor
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Remove the battery before manipulating the filter housing.
- Verify filter installation: Ensure the correct Bosch filter cartridge is installed in the proper orientation. Align any arrows or tabs as indicated in the manual.
- Check filter cover: Close the filter or dust bin cover firmly until it clicks. Some models will not run if the cover is slightly open.
- Inspect sensor tab: Look for a small plastic tab or protrusion on the filter or cover that presses a switch inside the housing. If this tab is broken, the vacuum will think the filter is missing.
- Test switch (if visible): With the battery removed, gently press the microswitch lever with a non-metallic tool and listen for a click. Do not force it.
- Replace parts if needed: If the filter or cover is damaged, replace with genuine Bosch parts. If the switch itself is faulty, the filter housing or main body section may need replacement.
