Possible Causes
Dust bin not fully seated, Broken latch on dust container, Faulty bin detection switch or magnet sensor, Warped bin causing poor fit
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Remove the battery before adjusting the dust container.
- Remove and refit bin: Take off the dust container completely and reinstall it, ensuring it slides into place and the latch clicks firmly.
- Inspect latch and hooks: Check for cracks or wear on the bin latch and the hooks on the main body. Replace the bin if the latch is damaged.
- Check seal alignment: Ensure the rubber or silicone seals around the bin opening are seated correctly and not preventing full closure.
- Sensor check: Some models use a small magnet in the bin and a reed sensor in the body. Verify the magnet is still present in the bin rim and not dislodged.
- Replace if necessary: If F1 persists with a correctly fitted bin, the bin detection sensor or housing may need replacement by a technician.
