Possible Causes
Pre-motor filter heavily clogged with fine dust, HEPA/post-motor filter saturated, Use without regular filter maintenance, Vacuuming of plaster or fine construction dust
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Remove the battery before handling filters. Avoid inhaling dust when cleaning.
- Clean pre-motor filter: Remove the pre-motor filter and tap it gently against a hard surface outdoors to dislodge dust. If washable, rinse under lukewarm water until clear. Do not use detergents or brushes that can damage the media.
- Dry completely: Allow washable filters to air dry for at least 24 hours. Never reinstall a damp filter; this can damage the motor and promote mold.
- Replace HEPA filter: If the HEPA/post-motor filter is dark, deformed, or has been in use for more than the recommended interval, replace it with a genuine Bosch filter.
- Avoid fine dust: Do not use the vacuum for large amounts of fine construction dust; this clogs filters quickly and can damage the motor.
- Reset indicator: Some models require a manual reset of the filter indicator (e.g., holding a button). Follow the user manual to clear F2 after maintenance.
