Bosch Charging Dock Alignment / Contact Fault

Vacuum will not stand in charging station or does not charge when docked

Possible Causes

Dirty or oxidized charging contacts on dock or vacuum, Misaligned wall mount or floor stand, Broken charging pins, Faulty Bosch charger or power supply

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the charger from the mains before cleaning contacts. Remove the battery if it is removable.

  • Clean contacts: Wipe the metal charging contacts on the dock and vacuum with a dry cloth. For stubborn oxidation, use a cotton swab with a small amount of isopropyl alcohol and let dry.
  • Check alignment: Ensure the wall mount or floor stand is installed at the correct height and angle so the vacuum seats fully and the contacts touch.
  • Inspect charger: Verify the charger LED lights when plugged in. Try a different outlet. If the charger shows no signs of life, replace it.
  • Direct charging test: If your Bosch model allows direct plug-in charging, bypass the dock and plug the charger directly into the vacuum or battery. If this works, the dock is faulty.
  • Replace dock or charger: If contacts are damaged or the dock electronics have failed, replace with genuine Bosch parts.
