Cordless vacuum battery will not charge at all; charger LED stays off or flashes rapidly when battery is connected.

Safety first: Unplug the charger before inspecting it. Do not attempt to open the charger or battery pack.

• Check mains outlet: Test the wall socket with another appliance to confirm power.
• Inspect charger and cable: Look for frayed cables, bent pins, or burn marks. If any damage is visible, replace the charger.
• Test charger LED: Plug the charger into the wall with no battery attached. Some Bush chargers show a standby LED. Then attach the battery and observe the LED. Rapid flashing or no light often indicates a fault.
• Try another charger or battery: If possible, test your battery on another Bush charger, or test your charger with another compatible Bush battery. This will identify whether the charger or battery is at fault.
• Replace faulty component: Replace the charger if it fails with multiple batteries. Replace the battery pack if it fails to charge on a known-good charger.
