Possible Causes

Faulty Bush charger or docking station, Damaged charging contacts on vacuum, Internal charge circuit failure on main PCB, Overtemperature lockout in battery pack

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the charger from the mains before inspecting contacts. Do not short the charging pins.

  • Verify mains power: Test the wall socket with another device. Ensure the Bush charger is firmly plugged in.
  • Inspect charger and dock: Look for cracks, burn marks, or loose parts on the charger or wall dock. If the charger LED does not light at all, replace the charger with a genuine Bush unit.
  • Clean charging contacts: On both the vacuum and the dock/charger, gently clean the metal contacts with a dry cloth. Ensure there is no corrosion or bent pins.
  • Cool down the battery: If the battery or vacuum feels hot, remove it from the charger and allow it to cool for at least 30 minutes before trying again. Some Bush batteries will not charge if too hot or too cold.
  • Test with another charger or battery: If possible, test your vacuum with a known-good Bush charger or test your charger with another compatible Bush vacuum/battery. This helps isolate whether the fault is in the charger, battery, or vacuum.
  • Internal charge circuit: If the charger and battery are known good but E10 persists, the internal charging circuit on the main PCB is likely faulty and the PCB will need replacement.
