Possible Causes

Open or shorted main motor windings, Faulty motor speed sensor (Hall sensor), Burnt motor driver components on main PCB, Loose motor wiring connector

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Remove the battery before opening the main body. Avoid touching any exposed PCB components with metal tools.

  • Check for obstructions: Ensure the motor is not physically jammed by debris. Remove the bin and cyclone and look into the motor inlet for foreign objects. Remove any obstructions carefully.
  • Listen for motor attempt: With the vacuum reassembled and battery installed, briefly press the power button. If you hear a click or a short attempt to spin followed by E7, the motor or driver is likely faulty.
  • Inspect internal wiring (advanced): If you are comfortable opening the main body, remove the screws holding the housing together. Locate the motor assembly and check that its connector is firmly seated on the main PCB. Look for burnt marks or melted plastic around the motor or PCB.
  • Replace motor assembly: If the motor smells burnt, is discoloured, or has visible damage, replace the complete main motor assembly with a Bush-compatible unit. Transfer any rubber mounts or seals from the old motor to the new one.
  • PCB replacement: If the motor tests good but there is visible damage on the PCB (burnt components near the motor driver), the main PCB must be replaced. This is typically a level-4/5 repair and may be best handled by a technician.
