Dust bin door will not latch closed or pops open during use

Safety first: Turn OFF the vacuum and remove the battery before working on the bin.

• Step 1 – Clean latch area: Remove any dust or debris from the latch and hinge using a small brush.
• Step 2 – Inspect latch hook: Check if the plastic latch hook or catch is cracked or missing. If so, replace the Camry dust bin assembly.
• Step 3 – Check hinge alignment: Ensure the bin door is properly aligned on its hinge pins and not warped.
• Step 4 – Test closure: Close the door firmly until you hear a click. If it still pops open, the latch spring or catch is worn and the bin should be replaced.
