Possible Causes
Blocked pressure sensor port in cyclone, Disconnected sensor tube, Failed airflow sensor on PCB, Dust contamination on sensor
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn the vacuum OFF and remove the battery before cleaning internal air paths.
- Step 1 – Clean cyclone and bin: Remove the dust bin and cyclone assembly. Thoroughly empty and brush off fine dust from the cyclone cones and mesh.
- Step 2 – Locate sensor port: On many Camry models, a small hole or channel near the cyclone base connects to the airflow sensor. Gently clear this port with a soft brush or compressed air (short bursts).
- Step 3 – Check for loose tubes: If accessible, ensure any small silicone or rubber tube from the cyclone to the PCB is firmly attached and not cracked.
- Step 4 – Reassemble and test: Refit the cyclone and bin, ensuring all seals are seated. Power on and test on low power.
- When to stop: If E9 persists, the airflow sensor on the Camry main control PCB is likely defective and the PCB should be replaced by a technician.
