Possible Causes
Worn trigger microswitch, Loose wiring in handle, Broken trigger return spring, Faulty handle PCB (on models with electronic trigger)
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Remove the battery before opening the handle or trigger area.
- 1. Check trigger operation: Press the trigger repeatedly and feel for sticking or inconsistent resistance. A spongy or loose feel suggests mechanical wear.
- 2. Visual inspection: Look around the trigger for cracks or misalignment. Ensure no debris is wedged around the trigger.
- 3. Internal check (advanced): Remove the screws securing the handle cover. Carefully separate the halves to expose the trigger microswitch and wiring. Check for loose connectors or broken solder joints.
- 4. Replace microswitch: If the switch actuates intermittently when pressed directly, replace it with an equivalent rated switch or the complete Candy handle assembly if supplied as one part.
- 5. Reassemble and test: Refit the handle housing, ensuring no wires are pinched. Install the battery and test operation in different positions.
