Possible Causes
Faulty dust level sensor (optical or pressure), Blocked sensor window, Deformed dust bin seal, Excessive fine dust clogging cyclone
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Remove the battery and dust bin before cleaning.
- 1. Empty bin frequently: Do not allow the bin to reach the maximum line. Empty at half-full to reduce load on the sensor.
- 2. Clean sensor window: Some Candy models use an optical sensor in the bin area. Look for a small clear window or lens and gently clean it with a soft, dry cloth.
- 3. Inspect bin seals: Check the rubber gasket around the bin and cyclone connection. Replace if torn, flattened, or missing sections.
- 4. Deep clean cyclone: Remove and clean the cyclone assembly thoroughly to restore proper airflow.
- 5. Sensor replacement: If E18 persists even with a clean bin and seals, the dust level sensor or associated PCB may be faulty and should be replaced by a technician.
