Possible Causes
Firmware glitch in main PCB, Faulty power latch circuit, Intermittent battery connection, Corrupted non-volatile memory
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Remove the battery before performing a reset.
- 1. Hard reset: Remove the battery and hold the power button for 15–20 seconds. Reinsert the battery and test.
- 2. Clean battery contacts: Ensure a solid connection by cleaning the contacts on both the battery and vacuum with a dry cloth.
- 3. Check for play: If the battery can move slightly in its bay, pad the non-contact sides with a thin piece of foam (without obstructing vents) to improve mechanical stability.
- 4. Firmware update: If Candy provides firmware updates via service centers, request an update of the main PCB firmware.
- 5. PCB replacement: Persistent E19 usually indicates a failing power latch circuit on the PCB, requiring replacement by a technician.
