Possible Causes
Faulty speed control switch on handle, Damaged main control PCB, Overheated motor driver circuit, Battery unable to supply high current
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Remove the battery before opening any covers. Do not short any contacts.
- 1. Reset the electronics: Remove the battery for 2–3 minutes. Press and hold the power button for 10 seconds to discharge residual power. Reinstall the battery and test the speed modes again.
- 2. Check battery charge: Ensure the battery is fully charged. Low voltage can prevent high-power mode. Charge until all LEDs indicate full.
- 3. Inspect the mode switch: On Candy cordless models with a slide or push-button mode selector, check for physical damage or stickiness. Clean around the switch with a dry cloth. Avoid liquids.
- 4. Test with a known-good battery (if available): If you have a second compatible Candy battery, swap it. If turbo mode works with the other battery, the original pack may be weak and should be replaced.
- 5. Suspect control PCB: If the issue persists with a good battery and the switch feels normal, the main control PCB or motor driver is likely faulty. Replacement of the PCB requires disassembly of the main body and should be performed by a technician.
