Possible Causes
Dirty or bent battery data pins, Faulty battery BMS communication line, Damaged battery connector on vacuum body, Incompatible or non-original battery pack
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Remove the battery and disconnect the charger before inspecting contacts.
- 1. Inspect contacts: Look closely at the metal terminals on both the battery and the vacuum. Straighten any slightly bent pins carefully with non-metallic tweezers. Remove dust or oxidation with a dry cloth.
- 2. Check for play: Insert the battery and gently wiggle it. It should lock firmly with no excessive movement. If it feels loose, the housing or connector may be worn.
- 3. Use original Candy battery: Ensure you are using a genuine Candy battery pack designed for your model. Third-party packs may not communicate correctly.
- 4. Test with another battery (if available): If a second compatible battery is recognized correctly, the original battery's BMS is likely faulty and the pack should be replaced.
- 5. Connector damage: If no battery is recognized, the battery connector PCB or wiring inside the vacuum may be damaged. This requires disassembly and should be handled by a technician.
