Possible Causes

Clogged main suction path, Blocked filter housing, Severely restricted hose or nozzle, Motor fan jammed by debris

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Turn the vacuum OFF, remove the battery pack, and wait 1–2 minutes before working on it.

  • Check for clogs: Remove the dust canister and inspect the inlet, cyclone, and outlet ports. Clear any compacted dust or debris.
  • Inspect hose and accessories: Detach the hose, floor head, and crevice tools. Look through each section for blockages (screws, drywall chunks, wood chips). Push a flexible rod or straightened coat hanger gently to clear obstructions.
  • Clean filters: Remove the pre-filter and HEPA or cartridge filter. Tap gently to remove dust. If washable, rinse with cold water only and allow to dry completely (at least 24 hours) before reinstalling.
  • Check motor fan area: With the canister removed, look into the motor intake for foreign objects. Do not insert metal tools into the motor; use a plastic pick or compressed air.
  • Reset: Reinstall dry filters and canister, refit the battery, and test. If E1 returns immediately with no load, the motor may be damaged and should be serviced by a professional.
