Possible Causes
Clogged main filter, Blocked hose or wand, Cracked dust canister seal, Damaged or missing tank gasket
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Remove the battery before clearing blockages.
- Empty canister or tank: Remove and empty the dust container. Tap out compacted debris.
- Clean or replace filters: Remove the cartridge or HEPA filter and pre-filter. Clean according to DeWalt instructions or replace if heavily soiled or damaged.
- Check hose and wand: Detach and inspect for clogs. Push a flexible rod through to clear obstructions.
- Inspect seals: Check the canister lid gasket and any rubber seals for cracks or deformation. Replace if air leaks are visible or you hear hissing.
- Test without hose: Run the vacuum with the hose removed. If suction at the inlet is strong, the issue is in the hose or attachments.
