Possible Causes

Clogged main filter, Blocked hose or wand, Cracked dust canister seal, Damaged or missing tank gasket

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Remove the battery before clearing blockages.

  • Empty canister or tank: Remove and empty the dust container. Tap out compacted debris.
  • Clean or replace filters: Remove the cartridge or HEPA filter and pre-filter. Clean according to DeWalt instructions or replace if heavily soiled or damaged.
  • Check hose and wand: Detach and inspect for clogs. Push a flexible rod through to clear obstructions.
  • Inspect seals: Check the canister lid gasket and any rubber seals for cracks or deformation. Replace if air leaks are visible or you hear hissing.
  • Test without hose: Run the vacuum with the hose removed. If suction at the inlet is strong, the issue is in the hose or attachments.
