Dirt or dust leaks from joints or around the filter area during use

Safety first: Turn OFF and remove the battery before inspecting seals.

• Step 1 – Inspect seals: Remove the dirt cup and filters. Check all rubber gaskets around the cup, filter frame, and cyclone for tears or deformation.
• Step 2 – Reseat filters: Ensure filters are installed in the correct orientation and fully seated in their housings.
• Step 3 – Check for cracks: Examine the dirt cup and cyclone housing for hairline cracks that could leak dust.
• Step 4 – Replace seals or cup: Install new Dirt Devil gaskets or a replacement dirt cup/cyclone assembly if damaged.
