Safety first: Remove the battery before inspecting electrical contacts on the wand or tools.

• Step 2 – Inspect wand contacts: Look at the metal contacts at both ends of the extension wand. Clean with a dry cloth. Check for bent or recessed pins.

• Step 5 – Replace faulty piece: Replace the damaged wand or accessory with a compatible Dirt Devil replacement.
