LED battery indicator does not change or is inaccurate (e.g., shows full then suddenly empty)

Safety first: Monitor the vacuum during testing to avoid overheating or deep discharge.

• Step 1 – Calibrate battery: Fully charge the vacuum, then run it on low power until it stops. Recharge fully without interruption. Repeat once more to help recalibrate the gauge.
• Step 2 – Observe behavior: If the indicator remains erratic after calibration, the battery may be degraded.
• Step 3 – Replace battery: Install a new Dirt Devil battery pack. If the issue persists even with a new pack, the main board's gauge circuit may be faulty.
