Dirt Devil
Poor Agitation / Worn Brushroll
Vacuum leaves lines of debris behind and does not pick up well from carpet

Possible Causes
Worn or missing brush bristles, Brushroll not contacting carpet properly, Incorrect height setting on nozzle (if adjustable)
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn OFF and remove the battery before inspecting the brushroll.
- Step 1 – Inspect bristles: Flip the vacuum over and examine the brushroll. If bristles are worn down, uneven, or missing, agitation will be poor.
- Step 2 – Clean brushroll: Remove hair and threads wrapped around the brush. This can lift the brush away from the carpet.
- Step 3 – Check nozzle height: If your Dirt Devil cordless has a height adjustment, set it to a lower setting for low-pile carpet.
- Step 4 – Replace brushroll: Install a new Dirt Devil brushroll designed for your model if bristles are significantly worn.
