Possible Causes
Blocked air path in wand or floor head, Severely clogged cyclone assembly, Main motor overheating due to restricted airflow, Defective main motor driver on control board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Power off the vacuum and remove the battery before inspection.
- Check for blockages: Detach the wand and floor head. Look through the wand against a light source; clear any clogs with a flexible rod (do not use sharp metal objects).
- Inspect the floor head inlet: Remove any debris lodged at the neck or internal channels.
- Clean the dustbin and cyclone: Empty the dustbin. Remove the cyclone module (if detachable) and tap it gently over a trash can to dislodge fine dust. Do not wash unless the manual explicitly allows it.
- Clean filters: Remove the pre-motor filter and HEPA filter. Tap gently to remove dust. If washable per Dreame manual, rinse with cold water only and allow to dry completely (24 hours) before reinstalling.
- Cool-down period: Allow the vacuum to rest for at least 30 minutes to cool the motor before retesting.
If E2 reappears with clear airflow and clean filters: The main motor or control PCB may be failing and should be inspected or replaced by a service technician.
