Airflow Restriction / Filter Blockage Detected
Display shows E3 and the vacuum stops; often occurs when filters are dirty or bin is full.

Possible Causes
Pre-motor filter clogged, HEPA filter saturated with fine dust, Cyclone separator blocked, Dustbin overfilled beyond MAX line
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn off the vacuum and remove the battery.
- Empty the dustbin: Open the bin release and empty all debris. Use a soft brush to remove compacted dust from the bin walls and cyclone shroud.
- Clean the pre-motor filter: Remove the foam or fabric pre-filter. Tap gently against a hard surface outdoors. If the manual allows, rinse under cold water until clear. Do not use detergents. Let dry completely (at least 24 hours).
- Clean or replace HEPA filter: Remove the rear HEPA or high-efficiency filter. Tap gently to remove dust. If washable per Dreame instructions, rinse lightly and air-dry fully. Replace if damaged or heavily discolored.
- Inspect cyclone vents: Look for dust cakes blocking the small cyclone holes. Use a soft brush or compressed air (low pressure) to clear them.
- Reassemble and test: Reinstall fully dry filters, reattach the bin, and test. Avoid running the vacuum without filters as this can damage the motor.
If E3 persists with clean filters, the airflow sensor or pressure sensor on the main PCB may be faulty and require professional service.
