Possible Causes

Battery pack voltage too low, Battery BMS (Battery Management System) triggered due to overload, Aged or damaged lithium cells, Poor contact between battery and vacuum terminals

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Do not attempt to open the battery pack. Lithium batteries can be hazardous.

  • Check battery charge: Place the battery on the Dreame charger or dock. Confirm that the charging indicator behaves normally (steady or pulsing light). Allow a full charge cycle (3–4 hours).
  • Inspect contacts: Remove the battery and inspect the metal terminals on both the battery and vacuum handle. Clean gently with a dry cloth. Do not use liquids.
  • Avoid heavy load: After charging, test the vacuum in Eco/Low mode first without the floor head (use only the main body) to reduce load. If it runs normally, the issue may be load-related.
  • Try a different outlet/charger: If available, test with another Dreame-compatible charger to rule out charger faults.

If E4 persists after full charge and cleaning contacts: The battery pack is likely failing or the BMS is damaged. Replace the battery with an original Dreame battery pack. If a new battery does not resolve it, the main control board may be defective and needs professional diagnosis.
