Possible Causes
Dirty or bent communication pins on battery, Faulty battery communication line, Damaged wiring in handle or connector, Non-original or incompatible battery pack
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Remove the battery.
- Inspect terminals: Look closely at the battery and vacuum contacts. Ensure pins are straight and spring-loaded. Clean gently with a dry, lint-free cloth.
- Check for damage: If any pins are recessed, bent, or corroded, do not force the battery in. The connector may need replacement.
- Use original battery: Ensure you are using an original Dreame battery pack designed for your exact model.
- Test with another battery (if available): If a second known-good battery works, the original battery’s communication circuit is faulty and should be replaced.
If E7 persists with clean contacts and a known-good battery, the internal wiring harness or main PCB may be defective and requires professional repair.
