Possible Causes
Brushroll belt (if present) broken or slipped, Brushroll end cap seized, Debris jammed in brush bearings, Internal gear damage in floor head
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn off and remove the battery.
- Remove brushroll: Open the floor head cover and take out the brushroll.
- Clean and inspect: Remove hair and debris from the brush and end caps. Check for melted plastic or worn bearings.
- Check belt or gears: If your Dreame head uses a belt, inspect it for cracks or breakage. If gear-driven, gently rotate the motor shaft and listen for grinding.
- Replace worn parts: Install a new brushroll or floor head assembly if mechanical damage is found.
