Broken drive belt (if belt-driven), Stripped gear in nozzle, Disconnected motor wire, Worn brushroll end caps
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn OFF and remove the battery before working on the nozzle.
- Remove brushroll: Open the nozzle and take out the brushroll.
- Inspect drive system: Look for a belt or gear mechanism. Replace any broken or stretched belts.
- Check motor operation: With the nozzle open and brushroll removed, briefly run the vacuum (battery installed, use caution) to see if the motor shaft spins. Turn OFF immediately after checking.
- Replace nozzle if needed: If the motor does not spin or gears are stripped, replacing the entire nozzle assembly is usually the most practical repair.
