Possible Causes

Dirty or bent battery contacts, Non-genuine or incompatible battery, Faulty communication line between battery and main PCB, Corroded connector pins

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Remove the battery and ensure the vacuum is switched OFF.

  • Clean contacts: Inspect the metal contacts on the battery and inside the battery bay. Wipe gently with a dry, lint-free cloth. If light oxidation is present, use a pencil eraser very gently, then wipe clean.
  • Check for bent pins: Look for misaligned or recessed pins in the vacuum’s battery connector. Do not force the battery in if it does not slide smoothly.
  • Verify battery authenticity: Ensure you are using a genuine Electrolux battery designed for your specific cordless model. Third-party packs may not communicate correctly.
  • Test with another battery: If possible, try a second known-good battery. If E7 disappears, the original pack is faulty.
  • Service if unresolved: If E7 persists with a good battery, the main control PCB or wiring harness may have a communication fault and should be inspected by a technician.
