Possible Causes

Loose wiring in floor nozzle, Damaged brushroll motor connector, Failed Hall sensor on motor, Broken cable in wand

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Remove the battery and detach the wand and floor nozzle.

  • Check wand connections: Inspect the electrical contacts at both ends of the wand for bent pins or dirt. Clean gently with a dry cloth.
  • Inspect nozzle connector: Look at the plug/socket where the nozzle connects to the wand. Ensure it is not damaged or loose.
  • Test handheld only: Some models allow direct connection of the nozzle to the handheld unit. If possible, connect directly and test. If the brush works, the wand wiring is faulty.
  • Wiggle test: With the unit running (battery installed, be cautious), gently move the wand and nozzle connection. If the brush stops/starts, there is an intermittent wiring fault.
  • Professional repair: Internal wiring or Hall sensor replacement in the nozzle requires disassembly and should be done by a technician or by replacing the entire nozzle.
