Clogged pre-motor filter, Blocked HEPA/post-motor filter, Dust-packed cyclone assembly, Blocked air inlet
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn OFF the vacuum and remove the battery before cleaning filters.
- Empty dust bin: Remove and empty the dust container. Tap it gently to dislodge stuck dust.
- Clean pre-motor filter: Remove the foam or fabric filter. Tap off dust outdoors. If washable, rinse with lukewarm water only and let dry completely (24 hours).
- Clean HEPA/post-motor filter: If your Electrolux model has a rear HEPA filter, remove it and tap gently. Some are washable; follow the manual. Allow to dry fully before reinstalling.
- Check cyclone and air paths: Inspect the cyclone assembly and air inlet for compacted dust. Clean with a soft brush.
- Reset filter indicator: Some models require holding a button (e.g., power or mode) for several seconds to reset the filter alert. Refer to the user manual.
