Possible Causes
Depleted lithium‑ion battery pack, Battery pack internal cell failure, Loose battery pack connection to main body
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn the power switch OFF and remove the battery pack from the vacuum before inspecting anything. Do not attempt to open the battery pack casing.
- Step 1 – Check battery charge: Insert the battery into the Essentials charger supplied with the vacuum. Confirm that the charger’s indicator light turns on and begins charging. Allow at least 3–4 hours of uninterrupted charging.
- Step 2 – Inspect battery contacts: After charging, remove the battery and inspect the metal contacts on both the battery pack and the vacuum’s battery bay. If you see dust or light corrosion, gently clean with a dry cloth. Do not use liquids or metal tools.
- Step 3 – Reseat the battery: Reinstall the battery pack firmly until you hear or feel a click. A loose fit can trigger E1. Try powering the unit again.
- Step 4 – Test with another outlet/charger: Plug the charger into a different wall outlet. If possible, test with another compatible Essentials charger to rule out a charger fault.
- Step 5 – Evaluate battery health: If E1 reappears immediately after a full charge, the battery pack may have an internal cell failure. Discontinue use and replace the battery pack with a genuine Essentials replacement.
Warning: Never bypass the battery protection, never short the terminals, and do not attempt to open or repair the battery pack yourself due to fire and shock risk.
