Possible Causes
Battery left uncharged for extended period, Internal protection circuit latched, Severely degraded battery cells
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Inspect the battery for swelling or damage before attempting to charge. Do not use a damaged pack.
- Step 1 – Attempt normal charge: Place the battery on the Essentials charger and leave it connected for at least 3–4 hours, even if no lights appear initially.
- Step 2 – Check charger indicators: If the charger shows a fault light or no response, test with another compatible Essentials charger if available.
- Step 3 – Try wake-up cycles: Remove and reinsert the battery into the charger a few times to see if the protection circuit resets.
- Step 4 – Replace battery: If E13 persists and the battery will not accept charge, the pack is likely below safe voltage and must be replaced. Do not attempt to revive it with non-approved methods.
Warning: Deeply discharged lithium-ion batteries can be unstable. Only use approved chargers and never attempt DIY reconditioning.
