Possible Causes
Battery overheated from extended high-power use, Blocked cooling vents around battery bay, Faulty battery temperature sensor (NTC), Defective battery management circuitry in pack
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn OFF the vacuum and remove the battery pack. Do not attempt to cool the battery with water or place it in a freezer.
- Step 1 – Allow cooling time: Place the battery on a non-flammable surface at room temperature, away from direct sunlight or heat sources. Let it cool for at least 30–60 minutes.
- Step 2 – Inspect cooling vents: Check the vents around the battery compartment and handle of the vacuum. Use a soft brush or dry cloth to remove dust buildup that may trap heat.
- Step 3 – Avoid heavy loads: After cooling, reinstall the battery and run the vacuum on a lower power mode. Avoid using turbo mode continuously on thick carpets.
- Step 4 – Monitor recurrence: If E4 appears again quickly under light use, the internal temperature sensor or battery pack may be faulty. Replace the battery pack with a genuine Essentials unit.
Warning: If the battery is swollen, leaking, or has a burnt smell, stop using it immediately and dispose of it according to local e‑waste regulations. Do not puncture or incinerate.
