Possible Causes
Completely discharged battery, Faulty power switch, Loose internal battery connector, Failed main control PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Ensure the power switch is in the OFF position before inserting or removing the battery.
- Step 1 – Verify battery charge: Place the battery on the Essentials charger until it indicates full charge. Then reinstall firmly.
- Step 2 – Check battery fit: Confirm the battery clicks fully into place. Try gently wiggling it while pressing the power button to see if contact is intermittent.
- Step 3 – Inspect power button: Press the power button several times. If it feels stuck or has no tactile click, debris may be lodged around it. Clean the area with a dry brush.
- Step 4 – Try a second battery: If available, test with another compatible Essentials battery to rule out a bad pack.
- Step 5 – Internal fault: If the unit remains completely dead with a known-good battery, the internal fuse, wiring, or main PCB may have failed and will require professional diagnosis and replacement.
Warning: Do not attempt to bypass internal fuses or short battery terminals to "test" the unit.
