Possible Causes

Broken internal wire in wand harness, Loose wand connectors, Cracked solder joints in wand terminals, Excessive strain on wand cable

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Remove the battery before inspecting the wand.

  • Re-seat connections: Disconnect and reconnect the wand at both ends several times to clean contacts and ensure a tight fit.
  • Flex test: With the vacuum running (battery installed), gently move the wand while observing for cut-outs. Stop immediately if arcing or heat is detected.
  • Replace wand if faulty: If movement consistently causes power loss, the internal wiring is likely damaged.

When to call a technician: Replace the wand with an original ETA part. Internal rewiring is not recommended for safety reasons.
