Possible Causes
Deformed battery rails, Broken latch mechanism, Dirt buildup in battery slot, Swollen battery pack
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Ensure the vacuum is OFF before attempting to remove or insert the battery.
- Inspect for swelling: If the battery appears bulged or swollen, do not force it. Stop using it and contact ETA service for safe disposal.
- Clean battery rails: Use a dry cloth or soft brush to remove dust and debris from the battery rails and slot.
- Check latch operation: Press the battery release button and observe whether the latch moves freely. If stuck, gently work it back and forth. Do not use lubricants that can attract dust.
When to call a technician: If the battery remains stuck or the latch is broken, have the handle housing or latch assembly repaired by an ETA service center.
