Cordless vacuum runs but suction is very weak and the display shows E3 or a filter icon with E3.

Possible Causes
Clogged pre-motor HEPA filter, Blocked cyclone separator in dust bin, Obstructed wand or floor nozzle air channel, Full dust container triggering airflow sensor
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn OFF the vacuum and remove the battery before cleaning filters or disassembling the air path.
- Empty the dust container: Detach the dust bin from the main body. Open the bottom flap over a trash can and empty all debris. Tap the bin gently to dislodge compacted dust.
- Clean the cyclone and mesh screen: Remove the internal cyclone assembly and metal or plastic mesh screen (depending on ETA model). Rinse under lukewarm water until clear. Do not use detergents. Let all parts dry completely (at least 24 hours) before reinstalling.
- Wash or replace the pre-motor filter: Take out the foam/HEPA pre-motor filter. If washable, rinse under lukewarm water until water runs clear. Squeeze gently (do not twist) and allow to air dry fully. If the filter is damaged or heavily stained, replace it with a genuine ETA pre-motor filter.
- Check the exhaust (post-motor) filter: Some ETA cordless vacuums have a rear HEPA exhaust filter. Remove and inspect for heavy dust buildup. Tap gently to remove loose dust or replace if clogged.
- Inspect the wand and nozzle: Look through the wand and floor nozzle for blockages. Use a flexible brush or compressed air to clear any obstruction.
- Reassemble and test: Once all components are completely dry, reassemble the vacuum, reinstall the battery, and test. The E3 code should clear automatically after airflow is restored.
Note: Never operate the vacuum without filters installed; this can damage the motor and void the warranty.
