Possible Causes
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the charger from the mains before inspecting it. Do not use damaged power cords.
- Check the outlet and charger: Plug another device into the same outlet to confirm power. Inspect the ETA charger for damage to the cable or plug. If the charger LED does not light when connected to the vacuum or dock, replace the charger.
- Inspect charging contacts: On models with a docking station, clean the metal contacts on both the dock and the vacuum with a dry cloth. For plug-in models, inspect the DC jack on the vacuum for looseness or damage.
- Allow battery to cool: If the battery or vacuum feels hot, let it cool for 30–60 minutes at room temperature, then try charging again. Some ETA models block charging when the pack is too hot.
- Try a different compatible charger: If available, test with another original ETA charger of the same rating to rule out a charger fault.
When to call a technician: If E8 persists with a known-good charger and clean contacts, the internal charging circuit or battery pack is likely defective. Have the unit inspected by an authorized ETA service center.
