Possible Causes
Blocked air path in cyclone assembly, Clogged pre-motor filter, Clogged HEPA/post-motor filter, Running continuously on MAX power with restricted airflow
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn OFF the vacuum and remove the battery. Allow the unit to cool for at least 30 minutes before further use.
- Empty the dust bin: Detach the dust cup and empty all debris. Tap gently to loosen fine dust.
- Clean the cyclone assembly: Remove the cyclone unit from the dust bin. Check for packed dust in the cyclone cones and air channels. Use a soft brush to dislodge dust. Do not wash if your model specifies dry cleaning only.
- Wash or replace pre-motor filter: Locate the foam or fabric pre-motor filter (usually inside or above the dust bin). Rinse under lukewarm water until clear. Squeeze out excess water and let it air-dry completely for 24 hours before reinstalling. If damaged or heavily stained, replace it.
- Check HEPA/post-motor filter: Remove the rear HEPA filter (often behind a rear cover). Tap gently to remove dust. If washable per manual, rinse and fully dry. If not washable or deformed, replace it.
- Inspect air inlets and vents: Ensure no plastic bags, large debris, or pet hair mats are blocking the intake or exhaust vents.
- Test on lower power: After full cooling and reassembly, test on low or medium power first. If E3 recurs quickly with clean filters and clear airflow, the main motor or thermal sensor may be failing and requires professional service.
