Possible Causes

Defective charging adapter, Faulty charging base contacts, Damaged charging port on vacuum, Overvoltage or undervoltage detected by BMS

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the charger from the wall before inspecting it. Do not use damaged power cords.

  • Inspect charger and cable: Look for cuts, kinks, or burn marks on the cable and adapter. If damaged, stop using it immediately.
  • Check charging contacts: On dock-style chargers, clean the metal contacts on both the dock and vacuum with a dry cloth. Ensure no debris is wedged in the port on plug-in models.
  • Test outlet: Plug another device into the same outlet to confirm it has power.
  • Try another charger (if available): Use a genuine Eufy charger with the same voltage and current rating. If charging works with the second charger, replace the original.
  • Observe charging behavior: Place the vacuum on the dock or plug in the charger. LEDs should indicate charging steadily. If E8 appears immediately, the internal charging circuit or battery BMS may be faulty.
  • Service required: If multiple chargers and outlets fail, the internal charging PCB or battery pack must be replaced by a technician.
