Possible Causes
Worn membrane keypad, Dirt or dust under buttons, Cracked control panel PCB, Damaged button domes
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Remove the battery before opening the control panel.
- 1. Clean around buttons: Use a soft brush and dry cloth to remove dust from around the buttons. Do not use solvents.
- 2. Open control panel: Carefully separate the control panel cover to access the keypad or button board. Inspect for dust buildup or corrosion.
- 3. Inspect PCB and domes: Look for cracked solder joints or damaged metal domes under the buttons. If the membrane is worn or torn, it must be replaced.
- 4. Replace keypad assembly: Install a new Festool control panel or keypad PCB if individual button repair is not practical.
