Possible Causes
Interference or weak Bluetooth signal, Low battery in remote or tool module, Faulty Bluetooth receiver module in vacuum, Firmware incompatibility between modules
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Switch OFF the vacuum and remove the battery before handling internal components.
- 1. Check remote or tool module battery: If using a Festool Bluetooth remote or tool module, replace its coin cell or internal battery as specified by Festool.
- 2. Reduce interference: Ensure there are no large metal objects or strong RF sources (welders, large motors, Wi-Fi routers very close) between the vacuum and the tool/remote. Operate within the recommended range.
- 3. Re-pair Bluetooth devices: Follow the Festool pairing procedure: clear existing pairings on the vacuum, then re-pair the remote or tool module. Confirm that the pairing LED indications match the manual.
- 4. Test manual start: Start the vacuum using its main switch only. If it runs normally without E05, the fault is limited to the Bluetooth control path.
- 5. Inspect Bluetooth receiver module: If E05 persists even after re-pairing and replacing remote batteries, the internal Bluetooth receiver module or its wiring may be defective. This module is typically mounted near the control electronics and should be replaced as a unit by a service center.
