Possible Causes
Blocked suction path causing abnormal sensor reading, Faulty airflow pressure sensor on control board, Disconnected sensor hose or wiring, Cracked sensor port on motor housing
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Remove the battery pack before opening the container or accessing internal parts.
- 1. Eliminate simple blockages: Remove the hose, filter bag, and main filter. Check for clogs in the inlet, hose, and container. Clear any debris.
- 2. Inspect sensor tubing: Some Festool cordless vacuums use a small hose from the suction path to a pressure sensor. Open the housing and verify that this small hose is not kinked, cracked, or disconnected from the sensor or housing port.
- 3. Check sensor wiring: Ensure the airflow sensor connector is firmly seated on the control PCB. Look for corrosion or broken wires.
- 4. Test operation with clean filters: Reassemble with a new filter bag and clean main filter. Reinstall the battery and test. If suction is normal but E06 remains, the sensor itself may be defective.
- 5. Replace airflow sensor or control board: If the sensor is integrated into the control electronics module, the entire module must be replaced. This should be done by an authorized Festool service technician to maintain safety and calibration.
