Possible Causes

Damaged brushless motor rotor or stator, Faulty Hall sensor or rotor position sensor, Loose motor phase connector, Defective motor driver stage on control PCB

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Remove the battery pack. Do not repeatedly attempt to start the motor, as this can damage electronics.

  • 1. Check for mechanical blockage: Remove the filter and inspect the fan inlet for foreign objects (screws, chips) that may jam the impeller. Rotate the motor/fan by hand (if accessible) to ensure it turns freely.
  • 2. Inspect motor connectors: Open the housing and locate the multi-pin connector between the motor assembly and the control electronics. Ensure it is fully seated and free of corrosion or burn marks.
  • 3. Examine wiring: Look for damaged insulation or pinched wires on the motor phases leading from the control board to the motor.
  • 4. Test for free rotation: If the motor shaft is stiff, gritty, or seized, the motor assembly must be replaced.
  • 5. Service-level diagnosis: If the motor spins freely and connections are sound but E07 persists, the Hall sensors or motor driver circuitry are likely faulty. These components are not user-serviceable; replace the complete motor assembly or control electronics module through Festool service.
